applies to their live performances also applies to the new EP “Is This Still Who I Am?”. In just under 20
minutes, ITSWIA draws you into a maelstrom of melancholy and melody. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes
desperate, sometimes angry, sometimes hopeful – always searching for yourself or
at least for the place where you can be yourself.
Musically, the 6 songs are in the realm of melodic hardcore, and fans of
Landscapes and co. will definitely get their money’s worth. “Heirloom” as the opener sets the
direction: an interplay of atmosphere and brute force, harmonious melodies and
passionate vocals. You will search in vain for clear vocals – singer Severin screams his
soul out and makes sure that you feel every line of the lyrics.
