“Tyll” is here!
\nHere comes Tyll. Nobody waited for him, nobody asked for him. He holds up a mirror to society. <\/p>\n

Then, when it doesn’t fit, then, when it disturbs. Then, when racism becomes blatant again. When young people take to the streets for the future and the embodiment of the past in the form of old, white men bludgeon them. Then, when we offer so-called concerned citizens a platform and once again want to take them seriously – as if we have learned nothing, we “keep pulling their wagon, but they don’t believe in the wheel” (from “Ebbe & Flut”). Then, when satirical exaggeration becomes reality, new fools are needed. One like Tyll. So much for one story. <\/p>\n

In the other, the supposed hero of this story is nothing more than a charlatan. He lives from the joy of pure destruction: “The village must burn so that we can live” (from “Tabula Rasa”). He is neither a savior nor a teacher. He doesn’t trip us up to teach us a lesson, he just trips us up. There is “no moral, no story – not even a trick …” (from “Tyll”).
